Have an irrigation emergency?
Follow these 3 steps below:
Shut it off, then shout out.
SHUT OFF IRRIGATION MAIN
Your irrigation main shut off is most likely located in an irrigation box in the ground. If the box is rectangular, pry open the lid on the side that says "lift here", if round, turn lid to the left. You should see a handle (yellow, red or green) turn any one of them perpendicular to the pipe. If the handle is round turn it the right.
SHUT OFF CONTROLLER
Once your water is off and the leak is subsiding. Turn your controller to the off position.

Irrigation source as a hose bib?
Some irrigation mains are hose bibs. Simply turn the main hose bib to the right.
If you still have a leak ...
You may have to shut off your house water supply at the water metre. you will need a wrench or pliers. Use the pliers to open the lid. Locate the flat metal bar about the size of a small french fry and turn it perpendicular to the pipe or approximately 1/4 turn.
